Antoni-Ernest Sebastià Torrent was born in 1960. Began his studies with P. Giné and in the Ampostina Lyre. Began on the clarinet with professor and composer F. Garcia who recommend Sebastià go study in Barcelona at the Municipal Conservatory. He earned the title of professor and a clarinet chair in the Municipal Band of the City of Barcelona. From that moment, he was in charge of teaching, formation and direction of the band, Música Espiga d’Or. He continued his studies in Harmony, Counterpoint, and Composition with M. Oltra, Garcia Gago, J. Poch, C. Guinovart and direction with L. Sanjaime and Ros Marbà as he moved on to master’s degrees.
In 1992, he joined the Professional Conservatory of Tarragona as a professor and in 1995 he made tenure, teaching materials such as the Language of Music, Harmony, Counterpoint, and Composition. Is author of arrangements and compositions for the band, orchestra and other groupings. Is technical assessor for the Catalunya Federation of Band Music. In 1997 he represented the Federation in the first Congress of Musical Education by the Spanish Confederation of Musical Societies, held in Zaragoza.
