Born in Girona in 1961. In 1982 obtained professional degree in piano from the Music Conservatory of Liceu. Later studied composition and instrumentation at the CSMMB under J.Soler and C.Guinovart. In 1988 obtained a grant from the Ministry of Education and Science to expand his studies abroad. He attended Besty Jolas en Paris in ‘88/’89. This same year, he joined the Association for Catalan Composers. Participated three times (’91, ’91, ’93) in the competitions of Central Acathes in Velleneuve les Avignon, France. Has attended the International Bartok Seminar in Hungary three times. From 1990 he specialized in theme music and 20th century languages, topics on which he presented several lectures and seminars. He is very familiar with the field of Cobla, in which he began composing in 1980, and later joined as a tenor. In time, he became the director. He has directed many groups, among them are the Sant Jordi Cobla from 1991-93, and the Juvenil of Bellpuig from 1994-present. Is a professor of Harmony, Counterpoint, and Analysis at the Igualada Conservatory and the Capellades School of Music, and has been since 1994.
