Kompositionsworkshop mit Benet Casablancas

General discussion of Mokusei Gardens. A Viennese Notebook for sextet (WP: Vienna, 1.10.2014, Joseph Haydn Saal der mdw, Anton von Webern Platz 1, 1030 Wien) in the context of the recent production of the author, with particular attention to the New Epigrams, Darkness visible. Nocturne for orchestra, String Quartet nr. 3 -Raging in the dark-, the Haiku for sextet and Six Glosses on texts by Cees Nooteboom. Finally, I will introduce a brief presentation of my research about the humor in music, listening to several musical excerpts and exploring their influence on Casablancas' own compositional work.
